It's not often that you find a company that started in the Great Depression and is still up and running during these less than ideal economical times. So when I read a short blog post on Garden & Gun about Moore & Giles, I was quite intrigued. The company started in 1933 and has since been designing and distributing natural leathers.
"Leather has always been a symbol of style and sophistication, and our mission is to showcase its inherent beauty and preserve the natural features that give it character."
Since its humble beginning, Moore & Giles has expanded from a leather findings shop to supplying leather to the home furnishing industry, and finally, in 2007, growing to design their own line of leather bags and accessories. And what a grand expansion that was - their stuff is made out of the most luxurious leather and is quite good looking.
Check out their site. You can browse/purchase everything from supple leathers and ladies clutches to weekend bags, pillows and gun cases.
